First, you may already be closer than you think.
If you currently support local nonprofits, schools, conservation efforts, community events, or other place-based initiatives near your property, those contributions can count toward the 1% Community Contribution Standard, meaning many hosts are already well on their way to qualifying.
Vacation Homes for Good™ is designed for hosts who are already doing thoughtful things and want meaningful recognition for it.
Certification helps hosts:
• Build trust with guests and neighbors by signaling a commitment to responsible, community-minded hosting
• Stand out in an increasingly crowded market through a differentiated, values-driven point of distinction beyond amenities or pricing
• Attract more responsible guests who care about local connection, stewardship, and meaningful travel
• Receive recognition and visibility through certification, future directory inclusion, and member storytelling opportunities
• Join a growing community of like-minded hosts helping shape a more positive future for vacation rentals
In short: if you’re already supporting your local community, Vacation Homes for Good™ helps make that impact more visible, more credible, and more meaningful to guests.
